Important Considerations Before Your First Consultation

How many sessions are needed?

Each treatment plan varies widely by individual, based on a number of factors, such as: density of area being treated, your budget, and personal tolerance during the procedure. Appointments within the first 3-6 months will be longer and more frequent until the area is cleared, then after about six months, the appointments become shorter and further apart. Full clearance is usually achieved by 12 months with consistent appointments, but large, dense areas can take up to 2 years or more.

What does it feel like?

Intensity of the sensation felt during the procedure varies widely depending on individual tolerance and the area being treated. The consultation includes a brief treatment session to determine your level of tolerance and to evaluate individual skin reactions.

Are there any other benefits to Electroepilation?

Yes! Electrolysis treatments have been known to stimulate collagen production, leading to a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. Regular treatments can improve skin tone and texture.

Are there any contraindications?

Yes, before booking an appointment, you’ll be asked a series of screening questions. While electrolysis is widely recognized as safe, there are some conditions which may disqualify certain individuals from receiving treatment, while others may simply need a physicians approval before proceeding.

Is “regrowth” possible?

Once a follicle is properly treated, the results are permanent and regrowth is impossible. The hairs targeted during a session only make up a small percentage of active hairs within that region. The hairs growing between sessions are from follicles that were dormant or “resting” during previous treatments. Each human, each area, and even each follicle is going to have a different rate of growth. This is why consistency is key, so that each hair is treated within its ideal growth stage, reducing overall cost and discomfort.

What sort of blemishes can be removed and how long will it take?

Blemish removal is a 30 minute minimum appointment, then more time is added if needed.

Popular blemish treatments include: skin tags (raised and flat), milia (small white bumps of keratin buildup, common around the eyes), cherry angiomas, thread/spider veins, and benign moles.

The benefits of advanced electrolysis, otherwise known as electrocoagulation, include minimal downtime, reduced risk of scarring, and affordability.

The procedure is non invasive using a fine, sterile, single-use probe to deliver precise, high frequency current to the target, effectively sealing off the blemish without affecting the surrounding tissue. Blood vessels are sealed as the blemish is removed, resulting in little to no bleeding. Multiple sessions may be required.
